Revving Up the Drive-Thru: A Fresh Mural Makeover

I recently had the opportunity to work on a unique mural project in the heart of Kansas City for Chick-fil-A's "Beacon on Barry" location. This challenge involved painting across two walls that were about eight feet apart, requiring a design that would visually connect as customers progressed through the drive-thru.

Inspired by the restaurant's name, I envisioned an anamorphic mural featuring a lighthouse with beams of light stretching over both walls, uniting them into a single, cohesive piece. Beneath the lighthouse, I painted “KANSAS CITY” in bold letters, filling the city name with iconic local elements like sports teams, the jazz district, the zoo, and the WWI monument. Each detail was carefully crafted to celebrate the city's spirit and the restaurant’s brand. As customers continue to drive by, the mural comes to life, enhancing their experience and making each visit to Chick-fil-A a memorable one.
