Paint the Town: Craig Greco’s Mardi Gras Masterpiece at St. Charles’ Mural Festival
At the 2024 "Paint the Town" mural festival in St. Charles, I had the honor of transforming a 27x38' asphalt intersection in the Historic Frenchtown District. Given the creative freedom to design anything, I chose to reflect the community’s rich history and vibrant culture. I painted a Mardi Gras mask in vivid colors using permanent concrete stain, employing an anamorphic style that brings the image to life in 3D from the perspectives of both pedestrians and drivers. Positioned at 2nd St and Randolph St, along the route of the annual Mardi Gras parade, this mural not only celebrates the local culture but also adds a dynamic and immersive element to the festive atmosphere.
